Camps and Trips Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Project The FCC takes 12 seventh grade students to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia each year during the first week of December. This week-long educational field trip includes 4 days in Williamsburg, visits to Monticello (Jefferson's home) and Mt. Vernon (Washington's home), 2 days in Washington, D.C., and 2 days in Pennsylvania (Gettysburg, Philadelphia and Valley Forge). The students from New York City join nearly 100 other students from around the country to learn of our nation's history. The students, selected from an application process involving academic grades, personal essays, and teacher / principal recommendations, participate in a five-week preparation course in order to maximize the benefit of this once in a lifetime experience.
