Food Pantry Through donations from local churches, synagogues, and funding from New York's Office of Domestic Violence and Emergency Intervention Services, the FCC provides bags of supplemental food to nearly 100 individuals and families each week throughout the year. These individuals are referred to the FCC by local shelters, hospitals, and city-subsidized housing to ensure that different people are being served each week. |

The 93rd Street Sandwich Line The Franciscan Community Center in collaboration with the Broadway United Church operates a sandwich line twice weekly. Every Tuesday and Thursday, staff and volunteers prepare and distribute bagged lunches consisting of a sandwich, dessert and beverage to the hungry of our neighborhood. |

The program was developed two years ago in response to the critical problem of hunger among members of our local community. Through the collaboration of the community center and the personnel of the Broadway United Church, the Franciscan Community Center provides lunches to approximately one hundred individuals twice each week. |
